What are the responsibilities and job description for the CHILD CARE STAFF position at Woodside?
Under the general direction of the Director of Membership, the Nursery Staff role is responsible for providing supervision of children of members which allows the member to spend time in the Club to complete their workout, attend a group fitness class or have a service at the Spa.

Duties / Responsibilities
- Provides supervision over children within the nursery facility and ensures their safety; all children remain within the walls of the nursery unless accompanied by the Nursery Staff and/or parent
- Releases child to a verified parent, guardian or approved care-taker
- Maintains open and constant communication with parents about their child(ren)
- Escorts child(ren) to the restroom as needed
- Provide access to toys and other activities for the children; interacting with them during their stay
- Consistently cleans the nursery area, toys and equipment and disinfects daily
- Continually monitors and ensures that all toys and equipment are in good operating condition
- Reports any maintenance issues immediately and verifies completion of any repairs
- Attends any necessary staff meetings
- Immediately responds to any emergencies and/or injuries and communicates with parents; reports and documents any injuries to all necessary parties – parents, supervisor, MGMT
- Communicates daily with the Studios Desk Staff to obtain a nursery schedule for the day
- Assists with implementation of rules and regulations to ensure a safe and professional environment for all members and employees
- Moves throughout the shift with purpose; no cell phone usage during shift
- Attends to all members and/or guests
- Complies with Club’s employee handbook manual, departmental policies and procedures and with all applicable federal and state employment laws
- All other duties as assigned

Skills:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a nanny or babysitter is preferred, must be able to work well with children
- Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written
- Excellent customer service skills – Positive Attitude
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and exhibit patience
- Ability to reason and problem solve without precedent
- First Aid/CPR Certification required
- Early education courses are a plus
- Valid Driver’s License - or reliable transportation to work
- Regular and predictable attendance is required, generally required extended hourly on a regular basis
- Primarily sedentary work
- Ability to move 20 or more pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to communicate well in English
- May have to clean up bodily fluids
