Description

The Traffic/Ad Ops Manager is responsible for managing the flow of information and materials between internal agency teams and media vendor partners to ensure the appropriate creative materials are delivered for execution of paid media placements.  They work closely with members of the Project Management and Media Services teams to coordinate deadlines, compile production requirements and specifications for development of creative assets, manage timelines and communicate status with agency and vendor stakeholders. They develop, maintain and optimize administrative systems for project tracking and communication.

 

Within the Media Services department, they organize workflow and timelines for media plan projects, identifying resource gaps and making recommendations on appropriate action plans. They develop and present analysis of department workflow, including alignment with account allocations and project estimates, and provide projections for upcoming team bandwidth.

 

This position reports to Associate Media Director (or Managing Director).

 

  • Project Management
    • Work closely with internal teams to schedule and manage Media Services workflow for assigned projects
    • Communicate ad closing and creative materials deadlines for placed media
    • Share production specifications, deadline and tracking information with account teams for campaign execution
    • Manage project status and traffic documentation
    • Attend recurring status meetings with each account team 
  • Traffic creative materials for media placements
    • Work with Media team to ensure appropriate tagging and documentation is in place
    • Manage tracking documentation to ensure appropriate tagging for site analytics (CID or UTM tracking links) 
    • Work with Coordinator to create tags and traffic/monitor digital media buys in Campaign Manager
    • Traffic creative assets and traffic instructions to media vendors
    • Follow up with vendors and internal teams to confirm campaign launch
    • Develop, update and maintain vendor contact list
    • Manage relationships and maintain contact with media vendor traffic/production contacts on an ongoing basis
  • Digital Ad Ops
    • Work with account managers, planners and vendors to implement (campaign trafficking, tagging set up, naming convention) and oversee launch of ad campaigns
    • Manage QA for ad trafficking, tracking and reporting
    • Monitor active campaigns, communicating with internal teams and vendors as needed
    • Perform floodlight audit across client site and assist in building tagging strategy as required
    • Provide pre and post implementation support to publishers
    • QA and troubleshoot 3rd party tags and creatives, providing technical support to media team
    • Proactively identify ways to streamline the campaign workflow and identify more efficient ways to work or opportunities for automation
    • Provide data to inform media analysis, providing suggestions for campaign optimizations and other suggestions for improved performance
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Assist in the maintenance of media files, including media kits, creative specifications or other media information for the industries or target markets the agency serves
    • Support media and other shared services team members with research, media buying, and billing reconciliation activities as needed

Qualifications


Candidate must be detail-oriented and highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. They should be a self-starter who has a desire to continuously and actively learn about advertising and optimize their way of working. 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience working in executing media campaigns and/or trafficking creative assets
  • Experience working with digital media is preferred
  • Understanding of digital media technologies, tagging, ad serving, media and site metrics
  • Experience working with Workamajig, Asana, Google Campaign Manager (DCM), Google Analytics or other workflow and media management software is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
