The Quality Manager is responsible to build, lead, and improve a quality engineering organization and for the development and implementation of quality improvement strategies as well as the continuous improvement of quality systems and business processes that support a site or multiple small sites. The incumbent generally reports to a Vice President Quality, Quality Director, or General Manager. This position is a strong contributor to supporting and achieving site level organizational quality objectives. The position involves collaboration with Directors and Managers to ensure the alignment of quality strategy, philosophy, systems, and business practice and is relied upon to provide technical expertise in guiding design efforts, customer interactions, and other quality engineering related matters such as problem solving.
- Accountable for reducing customer complaints and improving COPQ.
- Drives a robust quality culture with a zero-defect mindset.
- Establishes and executes site-level strategic quality plan.
- Develops staff and holds them accountable for quality metrics.
- Represents Woodward to customers and regulatory bodies.
- Accountable for effective root cause and corrective action.
- Reports quality metrics to management and drives corrective action.
- Stays current with quality and regulatory trends.
- Provides direction and development for direct reports.
- Develops and maintains an appropriate quality organization.
- 10 years of experience in Operational Quality, Customer Quality and/or operations leadership in a manufacturing environment required.
- 3 years’ experience working with quality management systems with solid understanding of quality management systems, process approach, and continuous improvement methods and tools required.
- Proven leadership capability for collaborating with internal and external customers toward continuous improvement required.
- Experience with APQP and process capability improvement required.
- 4-year science/technical or management degree required.

Salary : $91,200 - $115,000
