Job Overview:
To prepare, sell and serve beverages to customers and maintain a clean, orderly well-stocked bar. Ensure compliance with legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set up bar for events providing a variety of alcohol, mixers, and garnishes and break down the bar at the end of events.
- Take and prepare orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes.
- Check identification of customers to ensure compliance with server laws.
- Record beverage sales, collect payments, and make accurate change for customers.
- Maintain, clean, and restock the bar during and after events.
- Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages and tactfully address situations with customers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and negotiate stairs.
- Ability to operate a cash register, portable credit card machine and handle cash transactions.
- Ability to read, write and use simple arithmetic.
- Ability to follow timelines.

- Availability to maintain a flexible schedule based on Museum event needs, including nights and weekends.
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year in a similar position.
- Current TIPS Alcohol Training certification or equivalent.
