What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Work Now Staffing?

Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Shipping Clerk for our Addison client.

Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday. Hours can be flexible.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Job Details:
  • Determine type and size of packaging materials
  • Package cutting tools and apply labels
  • Pack tools in cartons
  • Other related tasks as assigned by supervisor and management
  • Ensure safety and housekeeping
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • The job requires the employee to be able to lift boxes that weigh 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications for Shipping Clerk:
  • 6 months to 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of computer, UPS/FedEx shipping systems a plus
  • Knowledge of general shipping procedures
Physical:
  • Ability to lift boxes that weigh 50lbs
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to use 10-key operation and regularly use a computer
