The Bar Prep is responsible for supporting the bar department and bar team in advance of the shift. This role involves bar setup, prep & stocking, batching cocktails, preparing juices and garnishes, organizing, maintaining overall cleanliness, and ensuring the efficiency of the bar and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all proper sanitation practices are enforced when taking care of the bar
Dispose of trash and bottles according to restaurant procedure
Bring filled bus bins from behind the bar to the dishwashing area
Prepare all fruit/garnish for all cocktails on menu
Restock all inventory: beer, liquor, wine, juices, glassware, etc
Skills
Strong verbal communication skills
Avid multitasker to adapt to a fast paced, high volume restaurant setting
Working Conditions
Be able to stand, twist, kneel and move around for the entirety of a scheduled shift
Be able to lift up to 30lbs
Be comfortable frequently using hands and wrists
Education/Experience
High school graduate or equivalent (preferred)
Prior restaurant experience is a plus but not required
