Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the style, size and quantity of
- product is accurate.
- Assemble various types of merchandise for shipment.
- Carry or transport orders to shipping locations with material handling equipment.
- Meet company performance standards for productivity.
- On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment.
- Conduct physical inventories as required.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Comply with OSHA Standards.
- GED equivalent and 1 year of responsible experience in warehouse.
- Working knowledge in MS Word, Excel or similar computer software systems.
- Ability to accurately complete arithmetic computations to sufficiently perform duties of
- the job.
- Attendance at work and punctuality is essential
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to communicate effectively
- The ability to follow directions is extremely important
- Required frequently: sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time as well
- as, kneeling, squatting, bending and reaching
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Must be able to count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly
- He/she must be able to operate a forklift and complete a forklift training program
