Maintenance Technician, Up to 25.00 / hour - Ypsilanti MI

Duties :

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems, lift trucks and cranes with minimal supervision.
• Operate cutting torches and welder
• Diagnose and repair various types of equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic
• On-site troubleshooting and repair of machines.
• Fabricate replacement parts, machine guards, install or repair conveyors, replace motors, tear down or replace pumps, maintain fluid collection or distribution equipment or repair electro-mechanical equipment.
• Replace damaged electrical components
• Document preventative and repair maintenance activities

Qualifications :

• 1 years of experience working with hand tools and power tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Previous welding and mechanical repair experience is preferred but not required
• Able to perform math functions
• Able to read measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers, gauges)
• Previous experience with plumbing and electrical systems

Ready for a day in the life of a Maintenance Technician? Perform general and scheduled maintenance on all equipment within the plant.

Troubleshoot, repair and rebuild equipment as it relates to electrical, plumbing, mechanical and hydraulics by methods such as : welding, fabricating, torching, and painting / etc.
