What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator position at Workbox Staffing?
Furnace Operator - 3rd Shift- $17.50 / HrLake Odessa
Come work at a local scrapyard that does its own smelting, sintering, and refining on-site!
Preferred Qualifications :
- Operating front-end loaders, skid steer loaders, forklifts, and powered floor sweepers.
- Operating hand and powered brooms to help keep the work areas clean and safe
- Operating air hoses and grease guns to help maintain essential equipment
Preferred Skills :
- Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
- Flexible and willing to learn, specifically the aluminum melting process
- Forklift experience preferred but not required
- Keep work area clean and safe
The right candidate for this position isn’t afraid of getting their hands dirty. You will be operating the furnace to ensure that the melting of scrap metal is done in a timely manner and held to company standards.
