Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include but may not be limited to: Office Assistant 2, Office Assistant 2 Calculations, Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding.

Individuals certified eligible for the 55b/c program under the Governor’s Program to Hire Persons/Veterans with Disabilities pursuant to Section 55b/c of the Civil Service Law will also be considered. To be considered, you must meet the minimum qualifications and provide a copy of your letter of eligibility with your response.

Candidates must have a High school diploma or GED AND one year of full-time general office experience*.

  • Qualifying experience: For the purposes of this examination, general office experience includes tasks such as preparing correspondence, reports, statements and other material; operating office equipment; answering telephones; verifying, recording and processing forms and documents such as contracts and requisitions; and performing general clerical duties according to established procedures.

Duties Description
As a member of the Imaging QA team, the Assistant WC Examiner would be responsible for following tasks:
  • Preparing boxes and folders of documents for the scanning vendor to process;
  • Reviewing and properly distributing or labeling/organizing documents and non-scannable objects out-sorted by the scanning vendor;
  • Meeting scanning vendor staff daily to exchange boxes and folders of documents for out-sorts;
  • Reviewing scanning vendor work for accuracy and recording errors;
  • Reviewing and processing rescan requests;
  • Processing returned undeliverable mail by updating the Claims Information System (CIS) and re-mailing documents to the correct address;
  • Verifying the OC-110A forms and case copy requests from outside parties;
  • Using Prime Forms to send electronic copies in response to requests from outside parties.
