The Event Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of at least 80 trade shows a year, multiple golf tournaments and conferences internal and external. Drive the companys mission by always representing our vision in every event. Own every aspect of an event, from shipping of trade show booths, scheduling hotels and flights, to gathering marketing materials for each event. Ability to keep financials and timelines under control. Develop an actionable plan for organizing staff for specific events.
Event Coordinator Responsibilities
- Gain a complete understanding of the requirements for each event
- Research necessary events that promote the Smart Rain brand that are quality opportunities and cost effective
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams for an impactful presence
- Book travel for sales team
- Day-to-day administration of events and programs including placing orders, travel planning, restaurant reservations, facilitating company attendees, monitoring registration, tracking RSVPs, answering questions, and resolving issues.
Event Coordinator Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- Proven experience in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment
- Track record of successful events
- Experience working with colleagues in graphic design, sales, marketing and communications specialties
- Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure without losing a customer-service oriented attitude
- Experience managing budgets and expense tracking
- Advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel
