WorkForce Unlimited is seeking a dynamic service oriented individual to continue the company’s tradition of exceeding our team members expectations through support of safety and risk management.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning, organizing, coordinating and directing safety functions including quarterly safety meetings.
• Ability to coordinate DOT, OSHA and Safety Policies with managers and employees.
• Knowledge of DOT and Hazmat regulations. (must have had hazmat training)
• Experience in Accident investigation and possess knowledge of related traffic and truck regulations.
• Training and instructing ability (instructors must have received instructors training and qualified to instruct the material presented (Vicarious Liability for instructor and company is a concern) Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures.
• Keep and maintain a current driver’s file on CDL operators and keep all managers and drivers up to date with current DOT regulations.
• Familiar with workers compensation regulations.

• Knowledge in Loss Control – Accident Claims

· Must have the ability to investigate safety violations and document investigative results.

· Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

· Familiar with a variety of safety concepts.

· Effective, clear and timely communicator.

· Available after hours to respond to safety related accidents and incidents.

Desired Qualifications:

· Associates degree and 3-5 years experience in safety, or significant

experience in safety with a progressive history of increased responsibility.

· Ability to lead and teach a team.

· Must be organized.

· Able to handle confidential information with discretion.

· Great attention to detail along with critical-thinking and problem solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Martinsville, VA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• EHS: 1 year (Preferred)
