Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Construction Laborer to join our team at Workforce. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving manual labor, including constructing wooden concrete forms, patching finished concrete products, and maintaining a clean job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, including constructing wooden concrete forms, patching finished concrete products, and maintaining a clean job site.
- Construct wooden concrete forms using blueprints, shop drawings, and previous experience.
- Patch finished concrete products using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintain a clean job site, including picking up tools and equipment and securing the site each day.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in concrete finishing.
- Working knowledge of power-operated tools and equipment used in wood concrete form construction.
- Ability to read and interpret working blueprints and shop drawings for the construction of wood forms.
- Knowledge of applicable safety precautions and the ability to work safely each day.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous physical labor.
- Ability to communicate orally.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions on daily work tasks.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive pay rate of $19.00 per hour and a schedule that includes Monday - Friday, 7 AM until we are done (typically 4 PM to 5:50 PM range).
