We are looking for a Technical Content Editor to join our global team and provide high-quality, technically accurate well-formed documentation, reference material, infographics, and guides for our education, enablement, and product teams. WorkFusion is a remarkably powerful product, and while documentation is generally considered for the customer, everyone, internal and external, leans on documentation to be successful in their role. As a result, this is a very important role for the successful growth of WorkFusion, and partnership with internal teams will be critical. Success in the role is dependent on your ability to do independent / collaborative technical investigation, provide clear and prescriptive documentation on product usage propose creative ways of presenting in some cases highly technical concepts to non-engineering users.
Within your first 30 Days you will:
· Pass Automation Academy Courses to learn WorkFusion product technical specifics.
· Perform an audit of the getting started content that is used by our customers.
· Recommend and make changes to the content based on your experience to improve usability.
· Align with the teams and process flows that you will be supporting in your day to day.
Key Responsibilities
· Establish a working relationship with Product Managers / Owners & Engineering to ensure a healthy dialogue around documentation needs during development, deployment and upgrades.
· Maintain a working knowledge of the portions of the product which you are responsible for so that you can do first round investigation and edits without needing to leverage SME time and resources.
· Perform QA on documentation produced by team members and adhere to standards and guidelines to maintain consistency of tone, cadence, look and feel and ultimately utility for customer.
· Work closely with Senior Content Manager to ensure consistent copy quality across a large volume and variety of assets produced by Marketing teams.
· Work closely with visual designers to ensure brand and messaging consistency across all assets produced by the organization.
· Edit training materials and automation/technology education course material (but no tech writing or technology product documentation).
· Edit/proofread thought-leadership essays, white papers, blogs, etc.
· Write and/or edit Marketing and Sales emails to external audiences.
· Collaboration with teams in Europe and India
· Summarize industry news and analyst reports and write related marketing campaign materials (website copy, emails, social media copy).
Qualifications/Experience
· 5 years working experience in highly technical software or software as a service environment.
· Minimum 5 years of professional copy editing experience in news/media publications or business communications; additional copy writing or technical writing experience a plus
· A strong, clear and compelling personal writing voice, plus the ability to write for other voices, such as drafting executive statements or social posts for the brand
· Demonstrated experience working with GIT, markdown, HTML, and CSS.
· Demonstrated capacity to research and self-teach technical concepts as required by role.
Nice to Have
· Experience writing documentation, reference materials and guides as well as design infographics or other informational assets as request by teams or prescribed by you based on your expertise.
· Experience working in a technical writing, knowledge or informational capacity / role.
