Position Summary - Staff Accountant

In the last few years, World 50 completed several acquisitions. As such, we have the need to expand our Accounting & Finance department. The Staff Accountant will have the opportunity to be a part of the company's exciting growth and expansion. You will have close working-relationships with the Controller and CFO.

Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities, specifically focused on accounts receivable and revenue recognition. See below for more details:

• Preparing account reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger including creation of journal entries
• Setting up online portals and invoice entry
• Month-end reporting
• Ad-hoc reporting/special projects
• Will possibly work on multiple entities
• Cash Management

Skills/Abilities

​​​​​​The successful candidate will be a dynamic team member to a small team in a fast-paced environment.  They will need to be able to collaborate with a team and work independently.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• Knowledge of general financial accounting
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for problem solving
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, knowledge of vlookups, if statements and pivot tables
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow up skills
• Positive attitude, hardworking, great team player

Work Environment
World 50 Group operates on a hybrid work model.  Associates are asked to work in the office two days a week, plus one extra day the last week of the month.
