Science Teacher Middle School

Job Title: SCIENCE TEACHER 5th Grade and 1 7/8 Grade class - Full Time (for an ideal candidate committed to returning next school year)

Job Summary: To plan and implement instruction which exceeds Colorado state standards and challenges students to fulfill their academic potential

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

Plan and prepare lessons, using school curriculum and state standards

Clearly communicate daily lesson objectives

Assess student progress and growth using both formal and informal assessment

Establish procedure and rule to maintain order and effective classroom management

Maintain accurate student performance records

Communicate with parents

Job Requirements:

B.A./B.S. degree in education and or a B.A./B.S. in science

Teaching License or Willingness to Enroll in Alternative Teaching License Program (Alternative Teaching License Program Information- https://www.dcsdk12.org/cms/one.aspx?portalId=220484&pageId=5812046)

Teaching Experience Preferred
