The Senior Accountant position is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the business. This position will assist with financial reporting and month-end closing entries. Have a strong understanding of accounting basics and fundamentals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, have a clear understanding of how the GL and the trial balance flow up to the financial

statements, assess internal controls and must have advanced Excel skills.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

 Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

 Preparing financial analyses and reports.

 Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.

 Prepares internal financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.

 Responsible for proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules and determination of proper timing of revenue recognition.

 Ensures that company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies and GAAP.

 Provides status of the financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting and reporting key financial data.

General Responsibilities

 Cross-train and/or act as backup for other positions in the GL department

 Communicate effectively with team members in other departments to resolve problems

and provide information as needed

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

 5 years of accounting experience

 Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

 CPA or other professional certifications may also be beneficial but not required.

 Management Experience a Plus But No Required
