World Relief Tri-Cities provides Immigration Legal Services to immigrants in the community and is a Department of Justice (DOJ) recognized legal service provider. This position provides administrative and clerical support to our Immigration Legal Services team. Will ensure that services are provided in an organized, efficient, and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  •  Facilitate basic in-person and telephone intakes and copy documents for new and existing clients for purposes of scheduling clients with ILS team.
  • Answer phone calls, review voicemails, respond to email inquiries.
  • Open, distribute, and process incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Enter client data into case management system and proofread for accuracy and completeness to prepare cases for accredited representative.
  • Assist with contractual obligations and other projects related to immigration funding and program building.
  • Establish and maintain client files and records and ensure they are kept in an organized and secure manner.
  • Collect payments from clients for services that are not covered under grants and issue receipts.
  • Maintain confidentiality in client communication, in person and over phone and email.
  • Maintain clear communication with ILS team and other staff.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Clerical or administrative work experience in an office setting
  • Desire and ability to work with people of diverse cultures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Bilingual communication skills with ability to read, write, and speak a language in addition to English, is preferred
  • Initiative and independent work
  • Some college preferred


Requirements
  • Mature and personal Christian faith

  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong typing and computer skills with ability to quickly learn various immigration and office systems
  • 1-2 years’ clerical or administrative experience in an office setting
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task
  • Appreciation of other cultures and ability to work with people of diverse ethnicity, nationality, religion, and language

·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations

·         The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-15 pounds.

·         Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.

·         The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

 

·         General office setting. World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.

·         Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.

·         Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.

·         Physical, emotional and intellectual demands

·         Equipment used: Employee computer (desktop or laptop), printer, and copier.
