 This position is responsible for oversight of all virtual client services and delivery, as well as staffing and training for client services. The Virtual Resettlement Programs Director will provide leadership and oversight to the Virtual R&P, Virtual Church and Community Engagement in partnership with the Churches of Welcome team, and Virtual Monitoring and Evaluation teams.


This position is contingent upon funding.

Role & Responsibilities

Missional and Office Leadership:
  • Embody World Relief’s mission, vision and values as a leader and an example for staff, volunteers, clients and the community;
  • Actively participate in the setting of office-wide policy and procedures, leading organizational initiatives and strategic planning;
  • Provide leadership to develop an office culture based on integral mission principles;
  • Demonstrate a strong focus on cross-program and cross-department integration to meet program, staff and missional goals;
  • Work with the Church and Community Engagement division to develop effective, relevant methods for partnership with local churches and volunteers;
  • Ensure staff development and support, modeling strong decision-making skills with the ability to empower and delegate appropriately;
  • Facilitate regular, re-occurring one-on-one staff supervision meetings with all direct reports reviewing program needs and staff support and development;
  • Establish goals, provide performance reviews and follow-up on individual goals.     
Program Development and Planning:
  • Implement and quickly scale virtual case management services for up to 2,000 individuals;
  • Identify program needs and establish clear and measurable objectives and goals;
  • Clearly communicate to program staff and provide leadership in reaching and celebrating objectives;
  • Hire, train, support, and develop team;
  • Ensure program budget health and monitor monthly financial reports;
  • Develop program policies and procedures for departmental operations;
  • Develop and implement systems of evaluation for program compliance, effectiveness, efficiency, and accessibility     
Program Oversight:
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable World Relief policies and procedures;
  • Ensure integration of all program components to meet client and organizational goals;
  • Ensure program compliance with various grant requirements;
  • Facilitate departmental and inter-departmental meetings when necessary;
  • Ensure continued learning and professional development of staff     
 Financial:
  • In conjunction with appropriate leadership and Home Office Program Directors, plan the annual budget for the Virtual R&P model and related programs;
  • Develop and evaluate sources of additional funding     
Communications:
  • Collaborate with marketing to facilitate production of external communications and materials as relates to Program Services;
  • Ensure timely and appropriate updates and reports to senior leadership


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • 5 years experience working in refugee resettlement;
  • Experience with the Reception & Placement program strongly preferred.   
  • Grant management experience.   
  • Master’s degree in nonprofit management, social work, International Studies or related field preferred.   
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  •  Self-starter and creative problem-solving skills. 
  •  Ability to set priorities, manage time, and meet deadlines effectively; and to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.   
  • Experience with program design and M&E.   
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.   
  • Previous experience working in a virtual environment strongly preferred.

  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience;
  • 5 years of social service program management experience;
  • experience scaling program response preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years management experience of team 10 people;
  • Advanced computer skills required (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, CRM);
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

 

·         General office setting. World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.

·         Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.

·         Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.
