Summer Session: June 1st - August 21st (12 Week Program)
The Systems Engineering Intern will work closely with the Systems Engineering team to implement standardized processes and methodologies in a selected Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool. The intern will also assist with a variety of systems engineering tasks to push forward the definition and evolution of World View products and services. The majority of the work will be performed in an MBSE environment.
Summary of Essential Job Duties
The Systems Engineering Intern will assist with one or more of the following activities with direction and guidance from the Systems Engineering Team:
- Reviewing, importing, and generating traceability for program/mission and product requirements;
- Establishing Verification and Validation Plans;
- Documenting structural/functional/logical product structures and interfaces;
- Defining product and mission behaviors;
- Conducting risk and opportunity analysis;
- Generation of FMECA and Hazard Analyses; and
- Generating traceability across all domains.
Qualifications
- Enrolled full-time at in an accredited university undergraduate or graduate engineering program
- Understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, as defined by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) and demonstrated with by coursework or previous experience
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and languages (UML, SysML, LML)
