This new role can ensure that our 24x7 mission-critical supply chain networks are running smoothly, that security is maintained, and that our business stakeholders have the proper technical support they need to be productive.
Job Description
Our direct client is looking for IT Network engineer for managing the IT infrastructure at our supply chain partner environment (America). In this role, you will work with our operations and supply chain stakeholders, product owners, and other network and security engineers as a collaborative team to deliver and maintain mission-critical IT infrastructure at our partner manufacturing sites.
What you will be doing:
Attend various business meetings for collecting technical requirement, propose architecture design and review quotation / proposal from our vendors/partners.
Travel to factory sites in North/South America (around 20% ~ 30%) for gear setup and maintenance based on the provided network and cabling diagram.
Work with our partners / vendors for deploying infrastructure and providing operational support (e.g. troubleshooting, floor expansion / power maintenance) Drive (manage) vendors / partners for setting up the infrastructure as per our IT standard guideline Perform administrative tasks (e.g. follow-up on pending tasks, collect vendor quotation, submit purchase order, track hardware ordering status, validate partner invoice and enter device and maintenance info into nvidia IT inventory system) Create and maintain necessary operational and support documentation (e.g. runbook / standard operating procedure / asset inventory system) What we need to see:
4 yrs of experience with general IT infrastructure on-site / remote
4 support (network, unix/linux/windows system and data security)
Good understanding of TCP/IP protocol, DNS, DHCP and data centre cabling (1G/10G/25G/40G/100G/200G) Knowledge (sense) of IT data security, LAN (e.g. 802.1q trunking, MLAG, spanning-tree) and VLAN segmentation Hands on experience with firewall, Linux/Unix/ Ubuntu administration (DNS / DHCP / NTP) BS/MS degree in Computer science or related areas (or equivalent experience) Ability to detect all service-impacting issues, accurate triage, apply urgent workaround, service restoration, and post-incident follow-up. Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Able to present and communicate effectively (e.g. over the phone/email/instant messaging/virtual meeting) in both English and Spanish Strong soft / negotiation skill in driving vendor and partner for getting things done Attentive to detail, feel comfortable in communicating effectively with people from all levels (technical and non-technical) and managing multiple sites in parallel Experience with DHCP option82 deployment is preferable Experience with industrial cybersecurity and ISO 27001 best practice
