Network Systems Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC (Candidate must have the ability to be onsite)

Duration: 12 Months

Skills & Experience required:

Top 3 Must Have:

1. Enterprise Routing, Enterprise Switching, Data Center Switching/Routing
2. Experience with Ixia and other tools used for network infrastructure testing
3. Ability to document testing results in bank formats

Skills

• BA or BS in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Data Communications or Computer Science.
• 10 years of experience in Data Networking.
• Hands-on experience in Data Center Device Communication and automation across vendor platforms (CISCO, Juniper, Arista primarily)
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN networking in data center environments
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Enterprise Routing and Switching protocols including but not limited to BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
• Knowledge of VMWare Virtualization
• Experience with configuration and support of complex multi-layered network environment involving L3 three-tiered, L2, and spine/leaf architectures.
• Excellent customer service skills including reporting, organization, written and oral communication and task prioritization
• Must be highly motivated and a self-directed individual
• Participate in cross-functional teams and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team
• Experience working under tight deadlines and high pressure environment
• Capable of quickly learning new technologies and procedures, as well as being willing to train others in procedures mastered as part of documentation efforts
• CCNP certified

Nice to have:

• Experience with scripting in Python
• Experience in building tools for Data Center Network Automation using Python 3, libraries like Netmiko, Paramiko, NAPALM, and protocols like NETCONF, RESTCONF
• Experience in Python 3 data structures, OOPS, parsing data formats like XML, JSON, YAML, templating engine like Jinja2 and database CRUD operations.
• Experience with testing harnesses and frameworks like PyTest, ROBOT, iTest. Etc.
