What is the AI Center of Excellence Team and why join?

This is an exciting opportunity to be a founding member of a new team focused on building a foundational set of core Generative AI services designed to enable teams to solve demanding business problems at scale for WWT (World Wide Technology).

What will you be doing?

As a Full Stack Developer on the team, you will be responsible for building software in an agile environment using a wide array of programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Here are some things the team will be working on this year:

• Exposing custom-built WWT GPT system to customers via wwt.com.
• Expanding custom document summarization & generation of RFP (Request for Proposal) tool to other business use cases.
• Support product delivery teams with the buildout of additional Generative AI Projects.
• Delivering an agent-based AI solution.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Build working software and deliver technical solutions that consistently exceed stakeholder expectations using web and AI technologies.
• Ensure software and solutions scale well, are cost-effective, and adhere to software development best practices.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, techniques, and patterns in the web and AI space.
• Make process and technology recommendations and assist with adoption.
• Provide technical and professional mentoring for team members.
• Lead projects and complex assignments with broad and ambiguous scope.
• Interact directly with stakeholders to understand functional requirements and needs.
• Demo solutions and communicate status to stakeholders at all levels.
• Participate in ideation sessions and strategic planning.
• Help foster a team-first environment grounded on an understanding of and a commitment to the WWT Core Values
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, MIS, a technical-related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8 years’ experience developing distributed/scalable systems.
• Demonstrated proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C .
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Proficiency in developing and consuming APIs.
• Thorough understanding of what it takes to deliver an application from inception to production.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Opinionated but you appreciate an environment where feedback is freely given, and your ideas are challenged.
• Comfortable mentoring other developers.
• Experience working with the OpenAI SDK and AI Frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen) strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI services is a strong plus.
