The Assistant Account Executive, Retail works with Project Managers to coordinate Agency resources to ensure that day-to-day Client needs are met. The focus of the AAE role is to ensure that assigned projects are completed flawlessly and to the highest standard.
The AAE will have some Client contact related to the management of the project tactics.
Assignment Specific Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Flawless execution of social project needs on the account – including coordination of internal resources, project initiation, gathering product information, management of timelines, management of the production process (online and offline), Client/internal approvals, management of revisions, accuracy and quality of Agency product, creative trafficking, etc.
- Keep Client and account team updated on the status of projects/activities.
- Act as internal support for account needs.
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with internal team.
Client/Agency Relationship:
- Begin to develop a positive and partnering relationship with Clients.
Industry Knowledge:
- Develop a deeper understanding of the Client’s business and the automotive environment, products and competitive environment.
- Integrate with Client’s social media areas of expertise to be aware of all social activities/platforms across the enterprise.
Administrative:
- Input into Client service materials (i.e. status reports, contact reports, meeting agendas).
- Manage coordination of material from Brand social resources.
- Assemble presentations as required.
- Track Tier III dealer enrollment and activations.
- Ensure all final assets are stored appropriately and shared on Asset Central.

- Skills & Knowledge: Effectiveness and quality of execution of assigned projects including, but not limited to, ability to multi-task, set priorities, flawless execution, attention to detail, timeliness, product knowledge, follow through.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated and expanded knowledge of automotive business and Client product.
Required Skills
Required Experience
- Post-secondary education in marketing/advertising or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in automotive segment or strong desire to develop career in this industry.
- 1-2 years prior agency experience preferred.
- Strong Client service orientation.
- Ability to write and communicate effectively.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Superior organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Proven ability to multi-task and set priorities in fast moving environment.
