The Role
Working as a member of the NY Financial Planning & Analysis Team, the Financial Analyst will ensure the continued accuracy of our financial records. They will work closely with the business to ensure the achievement of proper expense analysis, forecasting and flagging potential risks. The analyst will work closely with the Director to increase the company’s efficiency and profitability by forecasting the current and future financial plan of expenses.
What you will do…
- Support the FP&A Team with the preparation and management of all expenses including but not limited to the following: track and analyze monthly expenses, budgeting and forecasting, and preparation/distribution of monthly financial reports.
- Month end close: journal entries and reporting schedules.
- Evaluate previous budgets and expenditures to develop and implement future budgets.
- Provide proactive analytical support and other ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
- Continually look to enhance current processes to provide greater efficiencies.
Who you will be…
- Experience in an Advertising Agency financial role (1 Years) preferred.
- Approachable and solution-oriented and breaks down problems/issues into critical parts which can be resolved.
- Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely in oral and written communications.
- Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency.
- Extremely detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize action items and multitask depending on sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial statement analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, ability to learn financial systems quickly.
