WHO we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Buyer II - Packaging Center who will be responsible for purchasing equipment, parts, or services necessary for the operation of an establishment. You will be responsible for D/O (Delivery Order) and purchasing procedures at MPC (Mobile Packaging Center).

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Comply with purchasing policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the best prices and the most optimum delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment while enhancing efficiency.
  • Support assigned organizations to fulfill the procurement needs and requirements of product development projects and activities.
  • Create price contracts, purchase requisitions and purchase orders, prepare purchasing reports, and record purchasing transactions.
  • Daily processes and follow-up on orders to expedite and ensure timely delivery to meet project schedules.
  • Perform inventory controls, prepare purchasing reports, and record purchasing transactions.
  • Prepare and present reports, provides information to identify purchasing requirements, and communicates and reports performance against plans and business objectives.
  • Manage days of supply, buffer inventory control for materials procured.
  • Manage excess and obsolete materials on and off site, Samsung owned and Vendor owned, on and off site.
  • Manage vendor allocation mix minimizing risks and manage performance with clear KPI for transparency.
  • Manage projects and activities to ensure conformance to plans and the timely and effective achievement of results.
  • Identify schedules, and performance of procurement activities in accordance with business project schedules and plans.
  • Resolve purchasing and procurement related issues and discrepancies. Identifies and resolves invoicing problems and issues between accounting and vendors.
  • Initiate Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s)
  • Assist in the communication of purchasing policies and practices to relevant groups of employee customers.
Required Experience and Education:
  • 2 years related experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, or a related field.
  • Must have Microsoft Office software applications experience, proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in supply chain and purchasing experience is highly preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Limited supervision and the exercise of discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Client service driven with excellent relationship management skills.
  • Fluent in Korean - written and verbal.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include ability to distinguish the nature of objects by using the eye. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90% ) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.

Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. May require working additional time beyond normal schedule and periodic travel.
