Position Summary:
- Develop the finance and business processes that will enable accurate and timely calculation of commission payments, including detailed compilation of variable components, other KPIs and incentives
- Calculate commission/incentive award payments based on plan provisions. Review commission payment reports for accuracy and resolve commission/incentive reconciliation issues.
- Create and document business procedures.
- Create and maintain individual-level documentation provided to sales team members for visibility of their plans and payments
- Partner with stakeholders/partners/team members to continually improve compensation processes and tools with focus on efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the organization's compensation plans to ensure payments are accurate and in compliance. Researches and responds to questions, interprets policies, and assists with review of compensation issues
- Prepare month end journal entries related to variable compensation (e.g. bonuses and commissions)
- Prepare account reconciliations for bonus and commission accounts and research any variances.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management
- Assist with forecasting variable compensation based on the plan provisions used for the actual calculations
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
- Foster communication within the department, with other departments and with management
- Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures
- Support company policies and management decisions with a sense of urgency and professionalism
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and mind-set, flexibility and ability to work well with a team.
- NetSuite and Adaptive experience preferred
