The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Highly skilled Logistics Analyst leads and directs integrated logistics support (ILS) activities designed to provide effective and efficient life cycle support of systems and equipment.
- Recommends ILS element planning and progress to ensure compliance with program requirements, specifications, and standards.
- Analyzes models and optimized distribution networks using advanced logistics software for location of sites, allocation of resources, inventory placement, and size, selection of transportation mode, freight consolidation, and closed loop tours.
- Determines proper logistics support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operation area and other factors such as environmental and human factors.
- Directs the activities of more junior Logistics Analysts or other staff as necessary on activities related to the application of analytical techniques and methodologies.
- Demonstrates managerial and supervisory skills.
Specific Requirements:
- Provide management and operation support in the planning, executing, and reporting for Operations & Sustainment to include mission readiness, sustainability, and maintainability.
- Oversee implementation of sustainment technologies to include, but limited to, advanced manufacturing, additive manufacturing, Conditions-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM ) to address maintenance issues before they become problems.
- Participate in all pre-brief meetings associated with the brief development, capture recommended changes, and incorporate those changes into the brief.
- Update, maintain, and report on information management systems.
- Develop briefs.
- Research, analyze, develop, and prepare programmatic documentation related to fleet readiness, sustainment, and disposal.
- Provide recommendations to resolve system and mission readiness issues and product support shortfalls.
- Identify Courses of Action/opportunities to reduce Total Ownership Costs.
- Conduct assessment of actual fuel efficiencies compared to projected.
- Research the industrial base to identify additional suppliers and risks to improve supply chain resiliency.
- Support integrated planning, execution, and status reporting of the sustainment approach.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum of 10 years of experience relevant to the task responsibilities listed below
