Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

·         Perform tasks as requested efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniques;

·         Aquatic, groundwater, and/or surface water investigations and monitoring;

·         Safely conducting and leading field work, field data collection, and documentation;

·         Providing technical expertise and/or support for aquatic, hydrogeologic, and/or hydrologic investigations and monitoring;

·         Working with engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, biologists, data managers, and other environmental scientists to contribute to larger multidisciplinary projects;

·         Tracking and reporting on field activity; and

·         Preparing supporting documentation for reports, data checking & assessments.

 

Qualifications

·         Diploma or degree in environmental studies;

·         At least 5 years of practical experience in environmental monitoring;

·         Class 5 driver’s licence;

·         Experience in either the oil and gas industry or mining is considered an asset; and

·         Familiarity with Argo operation would be beneficial.
