Medical Biller

This is an in-office position. Work from home/remote work is not an option. No billing companies please.

Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Maintain patient billing records and update information as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation or obtain additional information for accurate coding

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding
- Proficient in ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
