Senior Product Manager

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for experienced product managers passionate about software, mobility and breakthrough customer experiences. As a Product Manager, you will orchestrate highly scalable, secure and safe experiences that usher in the next generation of mobility-based experiences. You must be constantly learning to be a better communicator and bigger thinker while thriving on getting things done. Unafraid of new technologies and languages, you tinker and build the future yourself while understanding that quality and craftsmanship are worth the journey.

• Constantly find ways to disrupt the current market through solid understanding of the industry and trying what has not been tried before.
• Create and continuously refine a product roadmap focused on providing continuous value to end-users of our products.
• Identify possible customers for your product and develop a product vision.
• Work with multiple teams across the organization to turn a high level vision into actionable requirements and backlog for a development team.
• Draw a holistic and optimal grand design with deep collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC Japan), Tier-1 suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Engage with vendors to make build-vs-buy decisions.
• Convey your vision of the next product increment by building trust and consensus within your immediate team and the broader organization.
• Create product requirement documentation, developer materials and metrics
• Maximize the RoI of your product by regularly inspecting it and collecting feedback from your end users. Adapt your roadmap and backlog if correction is needed.
• Occasionally travel internationally to achieve product adoption goals.

• 8 years experience as product manager in consumer product or advanced automotive technology companies
• Proven ability to prioritize complex requirements through managing or influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Data-driven decision-making and quantitative analysis skills
• Clear customer focus with experience building customer experience end to end
• Proven track record of taking ownership, a motivated self-starter that can work independently
• Proven success in delivering technology products/services in a high growth, ambiguous environment

• A BS or MS in a technical field, w/ emphasis in product development or entrepreneurship
• Other qualifications with experience working in technology companies and a strong aptitude for technology and empathy for the market
• Deep UX experience in working with Design, User Research and Data Science teams
• Familiarity with embedded systems and Functional Safety productization
• Fluent English and business level Japanese - strong written and verbal communication skills

$161,000- $264,500 a year

Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The California pay scale for this full time position is $161,000- $264,500. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
