Workday @Scale is a large-scale programme that will replace some of our core technology and also influence the ways of working for many of our colleagues at WPP. This flagship programme will see Workday deployed across our global landscape to address the technology needs of Finance, Projects and our People function – so essentially it touches all of our employees to some degree. The key to this programme is that technology is an enabler for change, it’s at the heart of what we do, but it’s not all of what we do.
In this role you will be documenting current business applications supporting or integrating to in-scope Workday capabilities. You will document future state Workday integrated solution requirements including applications that will be retired as part of the deployment.
You will report directly into the Workday Technical Lead.
What you'll be doing:
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders supporting current business capabilities in-scope for migration to Workday
- Document current business solution for in-scope business capabilities including high level processes, applications and integrations mapping.
- Document high-level Workday integrated solution business requirements to a standard that can be sign-off by the business stakeholders
- Maintain in-scope integration inventory and application retirements
- Support playback of integrated solution to business stakeholders
- Support development and testing teams though programme lifecycle
- Support assessment of change requests
- Support knowledge transfer to BAU teams
- Support solution architect team designing integrated Workday solution
- Provide liaison between Workday programme technical team and business stakeholders throughout implementation lifecycle
- Support business stakeholders developing test scenarios for end to end testing
What you'll need:
- Extensive knowledge of ERP business systems within HR/Payroll, Finance or PSA functional areas
- Knowledge of system integrations, common enterprise-wide touchpoints and common strategic objectives/challenges
- Ability to consult, capture and analyse requirements from both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience defining and documenting high-level business requirements of process flows across multiple supporting systems
- Ability to translate complex concepts into easily-to-digest deliverables including text based documents and visual presentations/diagrams
- Solution oriented mindset to identify where improvements can be made to existing business challenges
- Excellent communicator with ability to tailor style depending on audience
- Experience collaborating across business, project and 3rd party technical consultants assigned to the project
