Why we're hiring:

The Network Services Tower is responsible for WPP Global Network services and is looking to strengthen its technical capability to provide more effective technical and service assurance and service development across network services.

Working as part of the Network Services Tower the successful candidate will perform the role of Network Reliability Engineer

What you'll be doing:

• Ensuring the Network environment is available as per SLA’s and business requirements.
• Proactively manage and monitor parameters which impact user experience of Network service
• Providing technical Leadership during high focus and priority incidents, problems and changes.
• Identifying configuration changes that need to be made to maximise network efficiency and security
• Deploy new Network environments in line with standards defined.
• Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Investigating faults in the network
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders
• Identify areas for continuous improvement and automation.
• Provide support to the Network engineering team when required.
• Work closely with Network Engineering team to ensure a seamless handover of service through its lifecycle.

What you'll need:

• Good technology insight with a Networks focus, with a full appreciation of how technology can enable positive business change.
• This will include a good understanding of WAN, LAN, Voice and Cloud technologies at a technical level, Cisco focused, and fully cognisant of emerging trends and technology directions on all aspects of computing and how that relates to networks
• Hands on experience with Juniper Routers, Juniper Switches and Juniper Firewalls
• Palo Alto firewall experience (Mandatory)
• Working knowledge and understanding off end-to-end Service Delivery.
• Experience of network design specifically in the areas of Data Centre Design. Cisco WLAN. Firewalls. Cisco Routing & Switching.
• Cisco certified internetwork expert (CCIE) & Cisco certified network professional (CCNP) is preferable
• Self-starter with good leadership and communication skills who can demonstrate a logical and structured approach to solving complex problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, influencing and negotiation.
• Strong analytical capabilities – ability to review raw data to identify patterns and meaningful interpretation.
• Ability to be a credible, compelling, and articulate thought partner to the business stakeholders.
• Ability to translate business needs into Infrastructure technology and service requirements.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes.
