The GroupM IT team in WPP IT are the technology solutions partner for the GroupM group of agencies and are accountable for co-ordinating and assuring end-to-end change delivery, managing the GroupM IT technology life-cycle and innovation pipeline.
This role will work as part of the Local Systems Team for APAC. It will be responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of various local applications. It will be responsible for releasing a high-quality software to the users. It will also play a crucial role, by working with the business, in gathering requirements and translating complex technical requirements into effective and succinct requirements.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for planning, deployment and managing the quality assurance and testing for the project.
- Develop and establish quality assurance deliverables and testing framework, including creating and maintaining test plans and test cases in accordance with changing requirements, throughout the development of the Application Software.
- Create and manage the automated test framework (where applicable) such as preparing the test environment and maintaining functional testing scripts in accordance with the changing requirements.
- Work with the deployment team on setting up continuous integration, build and release automation
- Work with the development team (i.e. the business analysts and testers) for user stories elaboration, test automation, bug fixes, etc.
- Ensure defects are tracked in the product backlog, and conduct impact analysis of defect fixes discovered during manual or automated tests, validate completed stories pass the acceptance criteria, raising defects as needed and work with the development team to improve the expected behavior and test cases.
- Ensure that only the tested stories are demonstrated during the Sprint review(s).
- Lead the development and quality assurance teams in delivering the software release as agreed with stakeholders.
What you'll need:
- 5-7 years in the capacity of a QA Lead
- Excellence analytical skills.
- Experience automated testing tools is a plus.
- In depth understanding of development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Working with 1 or more agile development teams.
- Familiar with Agile tools (e.g. JIRA/Azure Devops).
- Continuous QA process improvement.
