Contract: 13 Weeks with Extension
Shift: 6 AM - 6PM & 6 PM - 6 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform physical examinations and collect patient health history
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and procedures
- Provide family planning education and support
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Assist with wound care, including suture removal and dressing changes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license State or Compact
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy
- Proficient in performing physical assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Experience with aseptic technique and infection control measures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Experience:
- 2 Years as LPN
- Knowledge of medical coding procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Travel nursing
Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
