General Summary: An exempt position responsible for various HR functions in collaboration with applicants, vendors, staff employees, management, clinicians, and physicians.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Performs, coordinates, and develops full cycle recruiting including initiating and completing job requisitions, job postings, sourcing, reviewing applicants to include initiating reference checks and screening through TPA, interviewing, and extending offer of position.
2. Conducts new employee orientation sessions for new hires, physicians, temporary staff, and shadow/observation students. Coordinates with IT and third-party administrators to establish new hire accounts.
3. Responsible for off-boarding to include exit interviews, termination letters and closing of personnel files human resource information pertaining to benefits and recruitment. Coordinates with IT and third-party administrators to close out staff’s accounts.
4. Documents status changes of new hires, promotions, transfers, and termination.
5. Maintains and monitors HRIS system to ensure accuracy and file maintenance, document conversion activities; enters, changes, to new hire, current staff, and termination. Enter enrollment, termination, and other status changes into Paycor HRP and notify carriers using vendor established procedures.
6. Assists Director with annual evaluations and updates to job descriptions as needed.
7. Participates in various committees, policy, recognition, etc. Assists with organization-wide events, Employee Appreciation Day, medical practice week, etc.
8. Coordinates eligibility of health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans; flexible spending accounts; retirement savings plan; voluntary benefits; COBRA; tuition remission; tuition assistance; FMLA; Leave of Absence and Short-Term Disability.
9. Tracks H.S.A. wellness objectives and provides finance with semester report for deposit.
10. Assists HR Director with annual open enrollment and initiates and tracks process.
11. Participates in annual salary surveys on behalf of the organization.
12. Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Responds to required reporting to government agencies such as Affirmative Action/EEO, ACA, and BLS.
13. Supports internal communication on the intranet and with marketing for job postings.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certifications: bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred.
Experience: 2 years’ minimum experience, work within the health care industry preferred.
