Financial Analyst I
Job Description: The Financial Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the daily financial operations of the Company and supporting the strategic objectives of Wright Traffic Control, LLC. The Financial Analyst I will report to the Vice President of Professional Services.
Responsibilities:
Summarize the daily crew report and provide it to senior management.
Compile and provide the weekly overtime report.
Complete financial analysis of all offices to identify areas to reduce spending.
Prepare and update monthly depreciation schedules and reconcile to the accounting software.
Monitor, document, and summarize key performance indicators for each office as they relate to the corporate incentive plan.
Collaborate with senior leadership in planning the Company budget and financial projections. Make recommendations to improve reporting and budgetary processes.
Perform data entry of budgetary figures into accounting software.
Analyze budget versus actual variances and trends to assist leadership with business decisions.
Monitor the profitability of the organization and provide periodic reports to senior leadership.
Assist Senior Management with tasks to support a timely month-end closing process.
Extrapolate financial information from the accounting software as needed for internal and external reporting purposes.
Assist in the development of strategic plans for existing, new, or proposed business operations.
Collaborate with other Departments to resolve identified discrepancies and/or issues.
Monitor, maintain and update office lease information (i.e. leases, amendments, COIs, etc.)
Participate and/or lead special projects where a financial perspective is required or requested by senior management.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance is required.
1-3 years of financial analysis experience is preferred, but not required.
The ability to safeguard sensitive and confidential information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding attention to detail
Ability to complete critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.
Strong overall business skills and a commonsense approach to issues
Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop
Experience using Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word
