Golden Skillet Assistant Food Service Manager (Evenings and Weekends)

Description

We are looking for an experienced nights and weekend assistant food service manager to join our team. The food service manager’s responsibilities  will include ensuring that all meals are prepared properly, leading a  great team and resolving any customer complaints. You should also be  able to expedite service during busy periods by assisting in serving  customers and processing payments.

To be successful as a food  service manager, you should be detail-oriented and knowledgeable about  food health and safety regulations. Ultimately, an exceptional food  service manager should be able to multitask as well as demonstrate  excellent leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Food Service Manager Responsibilities:

• Recruiting, training, and managing food service employees.
• Scheduling employee work hours to ensure that all shifts are adequately covered.
• Ensuring that customers are served quality food in a timely manner.
• Regularly inspecting all work areas to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.
• Taking inventory of food supplies and other consumables, ordering necessary supplies as needed, and receiving deliveries.
• Accurately tallying all cash and charge slips.
• Knowledge in all positions of the restaurant to be able to properly train and help as needed.
• Ability to open and close restaurant on your assigned shift.
• Address customer needs, comments, and complaints.
• Adhere to and enforce employee compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain routine cleaning schedules.

Requirements

 Food Service Manager Requirements:

• Must be able to work Nights and Weekends.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management, food service management, or related field is preferred.
• Current Serv-Safe Certification is advantageous.
• Proven experience working in the food service industry is a must. 3-5 years preferred.
• Sound knowledge of labor laws as well as food health and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding leadership and management skills.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail.
• The ability to stand for extended periods; 8 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, and Tue  (2pm - Closing)

Salary: From $14-17 per hour

Bonuses: $200-$400 per month

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• Supervising experience: 2 years (Preferred)
• Food Service Managers: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• ServSafe (Preferred)
