Your Responsibilities
- Have knowledge of the assigned project’s schedule and scope of work.
- Lead and direct the crew.
- Be prepared with all the tools, supplies, materials, manpower, equipment, and trucking necessary to complete the next day’s activities.
- Develop work schedule for upcoming weeks and convey job scope to crew.
- Prepare daily documentation and progress tracking (via Heavy Job and HCSS).
- Work with PM’s/Superintendent to resolve issues.
- Understand the schedule, contract, job scope, codes, expected production rates, material sources, truck routes, and budget for assigned jobs.
- Hold JSA meetings daily, or as job scope changes.
- Understand company and client safety requirements.
- Will be trained and have certifications in: CESCL, Driver’s license, TWIC, RSO, site-specific training/badging where we are working, first aid/CPR, confined space, rigging, trenching, and fall protection.
- Communicate with clients, suppliers, and crew on a regular basis regarding progress, materials, schedules, etc.
- Communicate via email as needed to PMs, superintendents, safety professionals, and clients.
- Communicate in a respectful manner consistent with WRS values and vision.
- Function as a mentor: equip and encourage team members to develop their skills and abilities as it relates to safety, documentation, operations, and communication.
- Take care of your team and strive to serve them.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- 5 years of Civil Construction experience required.
