We're looking for our next Group Executive Chef to oversee the catering at one of the jewels in the London crown of B&I catering - if this sounds like something you might be interested in, read on.
You'll be overseeing two key locations in The City forming a campus of approximately 12,000 employees with the main base of operations holding up to 6000 staff and the smaller 2000 at any given time.
There is a strong events side to the business, so you'll need to be prepared to work some evenings however, as the locations are only Monday to Friday, your weekends are all yours!
As part of your role, you'll be managing a team of up to 20 chefs across the two locations and will have some key, integral responsibilities:
- Building a creative environment within the kitchen that is fun and inspires those around you to be their best
- Working with your team to create menus that are filled with authenticity, innovation and culture
- Educating everyone in the importance food plays in our lives - from a nutritional stance to wellbeing
- Creating a legacy and reputation that you can be proud of

Job Description
WHAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY:
- Ensure that the location achieves, as a minimum, the financial targets agreed with the client in line with the budget
- Monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognise training needs and potential as appropriate
- Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information
- Work with your Account Manager to prepare budgets; achieve and maintain the food cost in accordance with the budget
- Develop and evolve all client’s services at location, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- You thrive on getting the best out of people and maximising commercial opportunities
- You draw satisfaction from managing, training and supporting a team
- You provide a professional catering service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met
- Have experience in an Executive Chef role ideally in contract catering or hospitality
- Good understanding of report writing and financial management.
- Possess excellent supervisory and communication skills
- Good delegation and influencing skills
- Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving
- Have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
