Maintenance Technician - Apartments in Los Angeles

We are currently recruiting for Maintenance Technician for several apartment communities located in the Los Angeles Area. 

WSH Management has managed senior and multi-family properties since we began operations 19 years ago and are very experienced in the management of both Affordable and Market Rate Apartment Communities. We currently manage over 50 properties in California and have over 100 employees.  Come join us!

Apartment maintenance technicians perform repairs and upgrades that keep the interior and exterior of apartment communities in first-rate condition. Daily responsibilities for technicians change continuously from job to job. They may perform electrical and plumbing repairs, or they may paint and do janitorial maintenance work. Apartment maintenance technicians work full-time during the day. Apartment maintenance technician is also required to be on call for emergency repairs and work irregular hours when needed.

Essential Functions Include:

1.     Inspect property and equipment daily to determine need and extent of service, equipment required, type and number of operation and maintenance personnel needed.

2.     Respond to service requests on a first in, first out, (except in the case of an emergency) and in accordance with Fair Housing guidelines.  Document to accurately describe work done, parts used, disposition and time spent.

3.    Review and update quarterly, semi-annual and annual preventative maintenance schedule to include changing HVAC filters, fire detector batteries, other types of safety devices, cleaning gutters, and inspecting for leaks.

Requirements:

• 2 years facilities/apartment community/maintenance and porter or janitorial
• Hard working with the desire to obtain on the job training.
• Availability to work on call for after hours emergencies.
• Candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screening. (A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management.)
