What are the responsibilities and job description for the WMS Implementation Team Member position at WSI Standard?
We are looking to expand the WMS team. This hourly WMS Implementation Team member will support the design, execution, and sustainability of our WMS. This full-time position will report to the WMS Project Leader. This position will involve remote work via video conference and require travel to various WSI locations.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Learn Manhattan WMS and how to execute functions including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and inquiries.
- Work with WMS Team to support design, preparation, implementation, knowledge transfer, and sustainability.
- Operate various types of lift trucks to augment site resources and execute physical product movements.
- Travel to various WSI sites to perform duties related to the preparation and go-live support.
- Be a change process champion by positively engaging site teams, coaching, documenting, and troubleshooting.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to various WSI sites to assist in preparation and implementation.
- Ability to impart to others with curiosity about Manhattan and work collaboratively to drive system improvement.
- Basic to moderate skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to build skills as needed to perform duties.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to learn, follow, and coach proper procedures.
- Accountability to follow through on assigned tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate clearly and directly in a professional manner, both verbally and written.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of previous lift truck experience; various types of equipment preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, trace issues to the root cause, and document findings.
- Demonstrated ability to be solution-oriented when faced with challenges or setbacks.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time through hot and cold temperatures, and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform office duties for extended periods of time, sitting at a desk and using a computer.
- Ability to repetitively twist or turn to drive in reverse; and stand, climb, kneel, stoop, and squat, as needed.
- Ability to turn the steering wheel on a lift truck requiring full rotation of arms and shoulders.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform warehouse tasks for up to 12 hours in a single day.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company.
