WSN is seeking a Project Managers and Business Analysts with Markets Transformation/Capital Markets experience to place in a long-term consulting role with our client, a tier one retail bank in New York, NY.


Role Description

The role will be part of a Core Program Management team charged with ensuring the timely execution of deliverables across multiple workstreams and functions while imparting subject matter expertise and know-how.


The candidate must be an individual experienced in project management with sufficient subject matter expertise and capital markets experience to deliver meaningful solutions that are functional and sustainable.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive the timely execution of strategic Capital Markets programs and deliverables through the diligent application of program management principles and standards

• Lead or participate in working groups, workshops and with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define project plans, and manage timelines

• Impart subject matter expertise by providing guidance, support and constructive challenge on business initiatives to ensure alignment with program strategy

• Ensure that all target state tools, processes and controls are socialized effectively and are approved at or by the appropriate governance forum or level

• Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives including working closely with Front Office, Quantitative, Finance, Market Risk, Product Owner, Controls, and Technology teams

• Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs

• Engage senior stakeholders continuously by escalating and resolving issues as they arise

• Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees

• Build strong relationships, adopting a joined-up approach, to support the execution of programs


Key Skills Required

• Strong and proven track record in strategic Capital Markets project management and delivering complex solutions is essential

• Has demonstrated experience in Capital Markets Transformation or similar Front Office roles including familiarity with Quantitative, Market Risk, Capital, Finance, and Regulatory concepts

• Significant experience in scoping, developing and prioritizing plans for high-visibility initiatives

• Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders

• A solid understanding of mechanisms to track and communicate performance

• Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and understand different perspectives

• Thought leadership in target state design through engaging stakeholders at various levels of the organization

• Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem-solving capability

• General understanding of Python, SQL


Key Skills Preferred

• 7 years of relevant industry experience.

• Experience in managing Capital Markets, Market Risk, Finance, Regulatory, or Front-Office related projects.

• Bachelor's/University degree; Masters degree preferred.

• Project Management certifications e.g. PMP or equivalent a plus.

• Demonstrated experience planning and delivering projects related to recovery and resolution plans a plus.
