WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time FF&E Coordinator for our Miami Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) project in Miami, Florida office. Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges and construction technology specifications.
Your Impact
- Coordinates overall development of FF&E catalog. Analyzes and compares prices with market trends, economy, and availability of product and services.
- Processes, verifies, and evaluates FF&E catalog selections for conformance with MDCPS buying guidelines, educational specifications, and approved prototypical master list.
- Responsible for the effective utilization of FF&E budget on all projects assigned. Reconciles the principal's requirements with the available funding.
- Provides technical and planning guidance to schools and departmental personnel for program areas identified in the project; reviews catalog for conformance with educational specifications, architectural plans, coordinates and resolves discrepancies with Project Manager.
- Gathers product information and standardizes FF&E used by MDCPS for prototypical catalog; liaison with subject area specialists to update the master catalog.
- Participates in project planning through team management meetings and project meetings; prepares cost estimates for alternative scopes of work; monitors projected costs versus budget.
- Reviews Phase ll and Phase lll plan submittals for compliance with FF&E standards and utility requirements; advises project manager of discrepancies.
- Develops FF&E Design Criteria document for all Design-Build projects. Assures conformance with prototypical layouts and other standard requirements.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in supply business operations and purchasing practices in a governmental, industrial, or institutional environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Evidence of knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
