We are looking for a talented Structural Engineer with 7 years experience to join our growing Geotechnical and Tunneling Team in New York City.
We are working on some of the biggest and most challenging underground projects in the area (and the world), including the Second Avenue Subway, Hudson Tunnels (part of Amtrak's Gateway Program) and the B&P Tunnel Replacement Program. WSP is looking for a Lead Structural Engineer for our New York, NY office.
Your Impact
- Design and analyze reinforced concrete, steelwork, tunnel linings, subway station framing, and other underground structures
- Identify efficient structural solutions and lead structural tasks
- Share your knowledge and advice with entry-level engineers
- Lead field inspection programs for of existing underground structures and new construction
- Lead the development of drawings, BIM models, specifications and reports
- Use analysis software such as SAP2000 or STAAD
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Minimum B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience in structural engineering practice
- Strong background in structural analysis, familiar with structural engineering software such as SAP2000, STAAD and spColumn. Familiar with CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation or Revit
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE license
- Master's degree, doctorate or equivalent experience in related field
- Underground structural experience

Compensation:
Expected Salary (New York): $120,000 - $150,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
