This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Lead Environmental Consultant to support our Connecticut operations, in our Shelton, CT offices. Be involved in projects with our Earth and Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Work with members of our Earth and Environment Team to provide direction, and support existing client relationships.
- Serve as Project Hydrogeologist for current and future projects, working with clients daily to set strategic direction for project execution.
- Prepare well site selection, pumping test, and well redevelopment work scopes.
- Water withdrawal permitting.
- Staffing and subcontractor coordination.
- Pumping test supervision, water sample collection.
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and train junior staff as required.
- Data analysis and interpretation to determine the next course of action.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or environmental engineering.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years experience.
- The candidate must have strong computer and writing skills. Proficiency with ESRI’s ArcGIS software is a plus.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
- The successful candidate must be able to work independently and show a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with technical and business writing, office automation, and communication software, technology, and tools.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
