Our Property and Buildings is seeking a MEP Intern to work out of our Dallas, TX office.
This 12 week internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program that is scheduled to start on May 20th, 2024. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.
Your Impact
Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design.
Learn basic principles of electrical system design and become familiar with Revit.
Perform basic calculations.
Assist in analyzing data.
Perform basic engineering design and production and construction administration services.
Provide assistance in engineering or/and other technical areas.
Complete training on assigned tasks.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
Required Qualifications
Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or related, Undergraduate program.
Experience with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and producing technical drawings.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Revit, and knowledge of reading construction plans.
Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus
