This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Coordinator to join our Earth & Environment Team serving primarily industrial clients and responsible parties for environmental investigations and remediation projects. This position will be based in our Marlton, New Jersey office or other nearby locations. This position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced team who provides solutions on environmental and engineering projects. Your role could include involvement through all stages of a project’s life cycle, while working closely with project and technical managers. Your Impact
- Support Project Managers and internal stakeholders in planning and executing projects
- Coordinate project setup and closing as per WSP’s Project Delivery procedures
- Assist with developing and maintaining project Work Breakdown Structure and schedule
- Coordinate logistics in support of travel and field programs, including mobilization, site access, accommodation, field supplies, etc.
- Setup and maintain budget and expenditure tracking under the guidance of Project Managers
- Interface with the accounting team regarding client invoicing, payments, and the monthly project billing cycle
- Maintain project contracts and documentation for sub-consultants, contractors, and vendors
- Track equipment calibration certification
- Track and manage compliance with requirements of quality management processes or plans
- Assist with developing and managing project health and safety plans
- Coordinate and document team communications
- Compile progress reports for the client, project team, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate document delivery, updates, filing, and implement other control systems
- Visible support resource for knowledge of WSP systems and protocols
- Provide non-technical document review, proofreading for accuracy, completeness, compliance with corporate policies, formatting adherence, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience
- Computer skills and experience with industry standard commercial computer software including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal skills with writing and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and within groups
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audience
- Strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on resourcefulness for operating and troubleshooting field equipmen
- Understanding the importance of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in related discipline with exposure to financial management
- Work experience in a consulting environment or similar-project-based business
- Knowledge of the Project Management Institute’s (PMI’s) A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge
- Basic understanding of scheduling principles and software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project) common to industry practice
- Authorized Notary Public preferred #LI-BJ1
