This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Scheduler for our Birmingham, AL office. The following locations will also be considered: Atlanta, GA. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Strong collaborative scheduling, forecasting and analysis leader for assigned project manager (PM).
- Responsible for developing, updating, and analyzing detailed execution schedules in Primavera P6.
- Develop and implement monthly schedule updates and variance reports in accordance with Client process and procedures.
- Co-manage with the PM key schedule activities that control the overall construction time or the critical path.
- Assess contractor monthly schedule updates and support analysis of potential delay claims and change orders.
- Perform time impact analyses (TIA) and forensic delay analysis to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays during construction
- Identify and measure scope change impact on a project schedule(s).
- Identify and support risk mitigation plans.
- Recommend and support execution of schedule, scope change or delay solutions for the Project Team and Program Leadership.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years experience in developing and managing complex, multi-contractor project Schedules.
- Experienced with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera P6
- Keen understanding of Earned Value concepts
- Estimating and Cost Management experience preferred
- This role is subject to a client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of this policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.
- Project financial forecasting skills.
- Implementation of Risk Management techniques.
- Change Order and Extension of Time analysis.
- Experience managing/ leading cross-functional teams.
- Experience working within large and challenging Client Programs with one or more project teams.
- Effective reporting and communication skills.
- Experience in preparing high level project reports and documentation.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
