WSP is currently initiating a search for a Manager, Contracts for our Exton, PA office. The following locations will also be considered: Tampa, FL; Washington, DC; Atlanta, GA, or other major WSP office. Be involved in projects with our Contracts Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Draft, review, and lead negotiation of subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual instruments to satisfy company needs, client requirements, and assure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Read and comprehend customer contracts. Provide guidance to internal clients regarding subcontract type, higher-tier contract requirements, insurance, and risk considerations, subcontracting practices, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with project managers, contract administrators, attorneys, risk management , and other disciplines to resolve complex contractual issues, and assure successful negotiation and timely execution of agreements.
- Take initiative to identify needs, develop, and implement templates, training materials, and efficient and effective practices and processes to meet evolving business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years experience in drafting, editing, and negotiating professional service subcontracts/contracts, preferably in the civil engineering, transportation infrastructure, or environmental remediation business sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail oriented, highly organized, possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients, collaborate with team members, and solve problems in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven environment.
- Working knowledge of various contract compensation types.
- Exposure to state, municipal, and federal contracting processes and practices.
- Highly proficient in MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
Preferred Qualifications
- JD degree from a US school.
- State bar admission preferred (any state).
- Experience in infrastructure engineering, environmental services or professional services contracts.
- NCMA, IRMI, or other relevant certification.
